Stamps Album - Collecting Stamps From Envelopes

If you are a beginner stamp collector, you may want to begin your collection by using used stamps on envelopes.

This is a great way to begin your collection and also good for kids to begin collecting.

All you have to do is cut around the paper where the stamp is located, leaving a small border of paper. Then place the stamp/s in luke warm water, give them a few minutes then carefully remove the stamp ( you will find it peels off no bother).

Place the stamps in cold water and again, after a few minutes retrieve the stamps carefully (with tweezers) and place them on some clean paper/card and wait to dry.

Finally, to avoid curling of your stamps, once they have dried, place a heavy book or something similar on top. Alternatively you can place them inside a book and leave overnight.
